Meet the athlete

I am Lotte De Vet, a 29-year-old Belgian with a huge passion for sports. As a child I started swimming and athletics, and when I was 15 I made the switch to triathlon. Since then, I've challenged myself with adventures like the Crocodile Trophy, Mount Everest Base Camp and an Iron Man 70.3. In 2021 I completed the heavy Marathon des Sables as the 7th woman and also finished my first full Iron Man. My love for long-distance sports grew, and I participated in ultra trails and multiple Iron Mans. In 2023 a dream came true when I qualified for the World Cup Iron Man in Hawaii, where I finished 10th in my age group. In addition to my own sports goals, I am happy to accompany young people with disabilities, both through sports camps and in my work as a physiotherapist in special education. Together with Kimberly, a girl with SMA, I ran the Barcelona marathon in a record time of 3h25'44 ’’, a moment I will never forget.
